NACOGDOCHES - The magic finally ran out for Huckabay on Friday.

After pulling off three come-from-behind wins in the Class A-D2 high school boys basketball playoffs, the Indians were eliminated in the Region III semifinals by Laneville, 63-37.

District 20 champ Lipan fell to Avinger in the other semifinal, 68-57. Laneville knocked Avinger out in the regional final, 76-70.

Huckabay was led in its loss by Joseph Jackson with 13 points. John Pugh also scored in double figures with 10.

It was the first regional tournament trip for the Indians since 1992.
