Stephenville split a pair of junior high volleyball matches when Henderson Junior High faced off with White Settlement Brewer earlier this week.

The seventh grade "A" team was upended 19-25, 26-28 by Brewer, despite 11 points, an ace and a kill from Bayleigh Chaviers.

Kourtney Seaton led in kills with five and also had four points, three aces and two blocks. Taylor Medlin also had four points and finished with a pair of aces and a kill, while Mikayla Hobbs registered three points and a pair of aces.

Codi Beyer had a point, an ace and a kill, Skylar Basham had a point and an ace and Rilyn Westbrook added one point.

The seventh "B" team bounced back from a first-set loss to defeat Brewer 23-25, 25-9, 25-21.

Ali Thorpe led the way, scoring 13 points with five aces, a kill and a block.

Larryssa Pierson had six points, Gaby Carrasco and Katie Stewart each added five and Karah Bost scored four. Cristina Castillo scored three points to go with a pair of aces, Hannah Mabry had two points, an ace, two kills and a block, Gillian Hernandez had two points, an ace and a kill and Brooke Sanderford and Cheyanne Tuggle each served one point.
