Hico pressed hard early and Millsap never had a chance in a 2A girls basketball battle at Hico High School Tuesday.

Senior guard Cassi Stegall amassed 29 points to lead the Lady Tigers to the 64-29 victory, evening their season record at 1-1. Stegall was joined in double figures by Sierra Cash and Stacey Underwood with 10 each.

"We got back in our run-and-gun style tonight," Hico head coach Brad Stegall said. "We were probably in a half-court offense only about 10 percent of the time."

Stegall says the Lady Tigers still need to improve on limiting turnovers.

"We still need to work on that and we will," he said. "It's tough to play the style we want without there being all the chaos. We like for it to be kind of a controlled chaos, but we'll figure it out."

Hico visits Glen Rose, which reached the 3A playoffs last season, on Friday.
