In the middle of the pack is where prognosticators believe Tarleton State volleyball will finish in the LSC standings this fall.

The TexAnns, coached by Mary Domine Schindler, are picked to finish sixth among the league’s 13 teams.

West Texas A&M sits firmly atop the poll, having claimed 30 first-place votes out of the 35 ballots cast.

Abilene Christian claimed the No. 2 spot, followed by Central Oklahoma, Cameron, Texas Women’s, then Tarleton. Also picked near the middle of the pack are Midwestern State at seventh, followed immediately by Texas A&M-Commerce.

This is the first season the Lone Star Conference will not utilize north and south division play, electing instead to strengthen teams’ regional profiles by competing as one 13-team league.

Tarleton begins its season Friday, Aug. 24 in tournament action hosted by Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Arkansas.
