ABILENE - The Tarleton track and field teams claimed four individual titles while recording several more NCAA Division II Outdoor Championship provisional qualifying marks in the Abilene Christian Twilight Open Thursday.
Rey Hinojosa took the tape in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:04.56 while Stephen Dombrowski won the javelin,throwing 58.48 meters (191-10).
Cassidy Porter won the high jump with a clearance of 1.66 meters (5-05.25).
Calvin Graham won the 100-meter dash in 10.35 to set another provisional qualifying mark.
Danielle Youngblood ran a 12.06 in the 100-meter dash to finish fifth before running a 25.05 in the 200-meter dash, finishing sixth. The 100-meter dash time is another provisional mark for the TexAnn.
Kandis Brooks finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.14 for another qualifying mark for the freshman.
Garrett Thomas finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdles after crossing the line in 14.38.
Justin Hobbs finished third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.26.
The menís 4x100-meter relay finished fourth in 41.37 and set a provisional qualifying mark for the outdoor championships.
Pablo Gutierrez finished fourth in the shot put with a chunk of 15.08 meters (49-05.75).
The teams will now await invitations to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships set for May 24-26 at the Irwin Belk Complex in Charlotte, N.C.
