E-T Staff Report Thanks to a 31-28 come-from-behind victory over then No. 6 Aledo Friday, the Stephenville Yellow Jackets are still the No. 2 team in the Associated Press Class 4A football poll.

Aledo dropped four spots to No. 10 in the new poll, released Monday by the AP.

The top five teams remain the same, with Copperas Cove continuing in its bid to hold the top spot wire-to-wire. CCHS received 17 first-place votes, Stephenville had two and La Marque was given one.

Waco, Brownwood, Wichita Falls Rider and New Braunfels all moved up one spot each at No 6- No. 9, respectively.

Behind Aledo, District 8-4A member Everman just missed the top 10. In voting points, Everman tied Nederland with nine. Kerrville Tivy, Friendswood, Wichita Falls and Keller Fossil Ridge also received votes.
