E-T Staff Report
After winning the District 16-2A championship and marching all the way to the regional semifinals in the state playoffs, the Hico Lady Tigers were rightfully awarded with the release of the league’s all-district roster.
Sophomore Cassi Stegall was named the league’s Most Valuable Player, while Tristan Till, a junior, picked up special honors as 6th Man of the Year.
Cara Finstad, also a junior, who alternated leading the team in scoring with Stegall all season, was named first-team all-district.
Representing Hico on the second team is junior Cristina Sanchez, while seniors Janna Marshall and Cristal Zuniga both earned honorable mention recognition.
Finstad, Stegall, Marshall, Sanchez and Till were also honored for their work in the classroom, along with Cristal Zuniga and Cheyenne Polk. This group gives Hico seven student athletes on the academic all-district team.
All athletes on the academic roster had to maintain an “A” average throughout the third and fourth six-week grading periods.
