Tarleton seniors Rachel Wolf and Shea McBrearty were named to the Lone Star Conference Championship All-Tournament team for their efforts in the TexAnns' first and second-round matches.
The TexAnns clipped Midwestern State 3-2 on day one of the tournament, before falling 3-0 in the semifinals to West Texas A&M, which went on to claim its fifth straight LSC title.
Wolf, a senior outside hitter out of Windthorst, recorded 25 kills, two assists, 10 digs, and five blocks in the two matches. Wolf had her best match against MSU, where she posted a .277 attack percentage with 21 kills on 47 attempts. During the two-match span, Wolf averaged 3.12 kills and 1.25 digs per game.
McBrearty, a senior libero from Dripping Springs, collected 35 digs in the two matches, averaging 4.38 digs per set. Against the Mustangs, McBrearty contributed 21 digs to lead the TexAnns, then followed that up with a 14-dig performance against WTAMU.
Wolf and McBrearty were also named first-team all-conference for their efforts during the regular season.
The seniors led the TexAnns to a school-record 23 wins.
