E-T Staff Report With four 2007 personal bests and three overall personal records, the Stephenville Junior Varsity Honeybees ran their way to a second place finish at the District 8-4A Cross Country Meet in Cleburne last week.
Chelsea Berry led the Bees with a third place finish by finishing the 2.0-mile course in 13:44. The time was the best ever by Berry.
Finishing fifth for Stephenville was Sydney Sult, who stopped the clock in 13:54. Joining her and Berry as top 10 finishers for the Honeybees was Rachel Whiteley, who came in eighth with a time of 13:59. Sult ran her best time of the season while Whiteley's time was the best of her career.
Meagan Flores finished 14th in 14:23, while McKenzi Parham was 19th in 14:30.
Felicia Alvarez and Kelli Greer each recorded personal records, finishing in 14:40 and 15:11, respectively.
Cleburne ran away with the team title with seven girls finishing in the top 11. CHS finished with 20 points, while Stephenville was second with 44. Crowley was a distant third with 94.
