The Twisters, a team consisting of seven girls who have been training with Texas Twisters for just one year, competed in the national tumbling competition held in Memphis, Tenn.

All of the Twisters were able to place in the Top 20, out of 100 competitors, in their events.

Two of the girls were able to medal in their events.

Emmy Rodriguez was a Bronze Medallist - level five, and Kalli-Blake Bramlett was a Gold Medallist - level five.

“We have a strong work ethic at Texas Twisters,” said head coach and owner, Lisa Lively, “and we always try to push the kids to the next level.”

“This is an amazing accomplishment for our girls, as well as the gym,” Lively said. “Our gym has only been in existence for one year!”

All of the girls on the team have reached a ‘mobility score’ which allows them to move to the next competition level. They will all continue their training four times a week at Texas Twisters here in Stephenville.

Texas Twisters and The Twisters would like to give special thanks to the Evening Lions Club for their generous donation.

Texas Twisters will be hosting their one year birthday party on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, from 6-7 p.m.

Bring the family for food and fun at the gym on the FM 205 (Lower Granbury Road).
