Sophomore Preston Brown racked up 22 points, more than a quarter of the Yellow Jacketsí fourth-place team total of 84 at the Ram Relays in Mineral Wells Saturday.
Brown was second in the long jump at 18 feet, 10 inches, third in the 200m in 23.29 seconds and ran on a pair of second-place relay teams.
The 4x100m and 4x200m teams both featured Brown in the anchor position. The Yellow Jackets finished the 4x100m in 44 flat and stopped the clock in the 4x200m in 1:34.33.
The 4x100m club was led off by Jordan Jones, followed by Aiavion Edwards and D.J. Taylor before Brown. The 4x200m team consisted of Cash Cahsell, Jones, Edwards then Brown.
The 4x400m relay team added eight points, as A.J. Moore, Charles Cain, Taylor and Jeck White finished fourth in 3:42.96.
White was also second in the 400m in 53.38 seconds, while Moore was fourth in the 800m in 2;14.46.
Cain had a good day in the hurdles, placing third in the 300m event in 43.75 seconds, and fifth in the 110m race in 17.50.
In the field, Padyn Giebler placed second in the discus (138-01) and Kody Josserand was fifth in the shot put (41-06).
