Henderson Junior High closed its seventh grade volleyball season on a positive note last week, posting a pair of straight-set victories over Joshua.

The seventh grade "A" team won 25-11, 27-25, led by Bayleigh Chaviers' 10 points and Kourtney Seatons' impressive nine kills.

Chaviers also had an ace and a kill, and Seaton added two points and a pair of blocks to her performance.

Chelsea Gillespie also had a big match with nine points and two aces. Codi Beyer had five points, Kaleigh Conger scored four and had a kill, Skylar Basham collected two points and a kill, Taylor Medlin had two points and an ace and Mikayla Hobbs scored a points and landed one kill. Rilyn Westbrook chipped in with a block.

The seventh grade "B" squad picked up 12 points from Katie Stewart and 11 from Ali Thorpe in its 25-18, 25-16 victory.

Stewart also collected two aces, three kills and a block, while Thorpe had a pair of aces.

Brooke Sanderford scored three points and had an ace for the Bees, while Karah Bost added two points, an ace and a kill and Cheyenne Tuggle also collected two points. Hannah Mabry tallied a point, two kills and a block while Cristina Castillo posted one block.
