The District 6-2A volleyball playoff race has been wild enough to earn an encore.
It will take an extra match to determine the league's third-place team after Dublin lost and Eastland won in Tuesday's regular-season finales.
Dublin held a one-match lead over the Lady Mavs entering Tuesday play, but district-champ Breckenridge swept the Lady Lions 26-24, 25-23, 25-21. Eastland, meanwhile, upset league runner-up Hamilton in five sets.
The Lady Lions and Lady Mavs - both 5-5 in league play - split their two regular-season matches, and will meet again with a trip to the post season on the line. The one-match playoff was tentatively set for 1 p.m. Saturday in Gorman, but Dublin head coach Patty Clark said that was not concrete as of press time Tuesday night.
The winner faces either Henrietta or Nocona from District 5-2A.
Dublin's last playoff appearance came in 2006.
Clark called her team's concentration and focus its two biggest problems in Breckenridge Tuesday, but said senior setter Suzanna Tolboom had a big night.
"She always stands out, but especially tonight," Clark said. "She made several key hustle plays. I hope we can all follow her lead Saturday."
The coach said libero Stormy Clarke also stepped up Tuesday.
