STEPHENVILLE - The TexAnns dropped their Lone Star Conference match, 3-0 (30-17, 30-23 and 30-22), against a tough Midwestern State team on Saturday inside Wisdom Gym.

The Mustangs (23-3, 7-1 LSC) benefited from 12 total team blocks, while Tarleton (11-14, 4-6 LSC) finished the match with three total blocks as a team.

Tarleton fell behind early in matches one and two and were unable to sustain any comeback streaks to take a lead.  The TexAnns had an early 9-5 lead in game three before the Mustangs took control to finish the match.

Junior Missy Castro had 14 kills to lead the TexAnns while junior Alisha Bourgo's nine digs were a team-high.  Prayr Giebler led Tarleton in assists, collecting 18 on the day.

Whitney Maxwell had 13 kills to lead Midwestern State.  Two different Mustangs finished with eight digs while Allison Schreiber posted a match-high assists.
