CROWLEY - Stephenville made quick work of Crowley here Friday, sweeping the Lady Eagles in straight sets, 25-21, 25-22 and 25-16.

For the Honeybees, the win improves their overall mark to 13-9. More importantly, they are now 3-1 in District 6-4A play, with big matches against Joshua and Cleburne on the horizon.

Coach Fran Metzger was glad to pick up the win, but was not overly impressed with her team’s play.

“We made them kind of close,” she said of the three sets. “I don’t know if we get nervous or what, but we make way to many errors. We just have to settle down and get better.”

Stephenville hosts Joshua Tuesday. Action begins with the first freshman battle and the JV match at 5:30 p.m.
