After winning its seventh straight season-opener and 19th in 21 tries under head coach Lonn Reisman, Tarleton State is back on the court tonight in menís basketball action against Southwest Assemblies of God.

The Texans, ranked No. 19 in the NABC preseason poll, have gone 2-0 to begin each of the last six seasons, including a 5-0 start last year.† The last time Tarleton didnít start 2-0 was in 2001, which was also the last season the Texans fell in a season opener.

Southwest Assemblies of God is 2-1, including an 87-84 double-overtime victory against NAIA Division I power Friends University.

Autograph night will be observed with Texan players hanging around after the contest to sign team pictures.

Tipoff at Wisdom Gym is set for 8 p.m.
