Stephenville outfielder Reese Robinson has been named to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 4A Academic All-State team.

Robinson joins a list of six other honorees from Stephenville who were noted in the Wednesday edition of the Empire-Tribune.† Others on the academic squad include Garrett Autrey, Matt Mabry, Chris Malone, Daniel Noland, Brad Picha and Clint Warren.

Robinsonís honor gives Stephenville a total of seven taking statewide academic accolades, something head coach Steve Carroll says makes him proud.

ďAny time youíre recognized on a statewide level itís something special.† This team raised the bar in several areas,Ē† Carroll said for the report published on Wednesday.

Stephenville was 22-10 this spring, winning the programís first district title - they split the 8-4A championship with Granbury - since 1949 and the first area title in school history.
