Hunter Turner scored 18 points and Jonathan Pringle tallied 17 as Dublin edged Millsap 59-51 at Roy and Lynn Neff Gym Tuesday night.
Jesse Bamber was also in double figures, scoring 12 for the Lions, who take momentum into this weekend’s tournament in Lingleville after placing second in the Dublin Dr Pepper Tournament before Tuesday’s win.
Dublin was clinging to a 25-22 edge after a sub-par offensive performance in the first half Tuesday, but responded well after the break.
“We didn’t shoot the ball very well in the first half but we made some adjustments offensively and the guys played a really good second half,” Dublin head coach Richard Pringle said.
Dublin meets Class A Santo today in the opening round of the tournament in Lingleville.
