Stephenville High School golfers — including two academic all-state honorees — were recognized recently during the postseason party for the Yellow Jackets and the Honeybees.

Seniors Maycee Decker and Maddi Grimes, both regional qualifiers as a member of the Honeybees, earned the spotlight after being named by both the Texas Girls Coaches Association and the Texas High School Coaches Association academic all-state teams.

Academic all-District 8-4A honors were earned by senior Taylor Harpole, sophomore regional qualifiers Allee Mainord and Alexis Graham, and freshman Kylie Roberts.

Mainord was a first-team all-district pick, while Harpole and Graham were second-team all-district. Mainord and Roberts were recognized in the Best District Average category.

The other member of the Honeybee varsity for the 2018 season was junior Tatum Dobson.

For the varsity boys team, senior Kendall Roberts was named as a second-team all-district selection.

Senior Rosser Orr along with freshmen Grayson Traweek and Hunter Rudloff, made the academic all-district list.

Sophomore Justin Cockerell was also a varsity letterman for the Jackets.
