Tarleton is headed back to Canyon for another postseason tournament after being named the No. 6 seed in the South Central Regional Tournament by the NCAA Sunday night.

The tournament takes the top six teams in the South Central Region, including three tournament champions and three at-large teams. This is Tarleton's fourth regional tournament appearance in school history, the third under head coach Bryan Conger and the first since 2014.

Tarleton will square off against West Texas A&M to open the tournament in a rematch of Saturday's LSC Tournament championship game in the first round while Colorado Mesa will face Texas A&M-Kingsville in the 2-5 game. St. Edward's and Colorado Mines will play in the 3-4 game.

Tarleton is 35-15 on the season and finished second in the Lone Star Conference standings. The Texans defeated West Texas A&M 15-7 Saturday afternoon in Canyon to earn the automatic bid into the tournament.

Details regarding game times and ticket information will be made available in the coming days. Stay tuned to TarletonSports.com for details.
