Godley rallied for three runs in the sixth inning Friday to slip by Stephenville 8-7 in their District 8-4A softball contest in Stephenville on Senior Night.

The Honeybees took a 4-0 advantage in the bottom of the second inning, but Godley grabbed a 5-4 lead in the top of the third. with one in the third and two in the fourth, the Honeybees went back ahead, 7-5.

But the Lady Wilcats came away with the win with a three-run rally.

Jessica Ebeling and Jettie Funderburgh posted two runs batted in apiece for SHS. Skye Gaitan waas 2-for-3.

Julie Flores went the distance pitching for the Honeybees, allowing six earned runs while striking out five and walking none.

The playoff-bound Honeybees (6-3 in district and 18-11-1 overall) play their final regular-season game tonight in Alvarado.
