SAN ANGELO - Tarleton suffered a 26-9 loss in the series finale against No. 16 Angelo State at Foster Field Saturday afternoon.

After Angelo State started the scoring with two in the first inning, Tarleton answered back with a two-run homer by Dylan Lemonsand a two-RBI double from Blake Adams to put the Texans up 4-2 after an inning and half.

The Rams responded with 11 in the second, seven in the third, four in the fourth and one in each of the last two innings while Tarleton scored two in the third on a two-run home run from Jake Hasbrouck, two more in the fourth on RBI from Francisco and Ruben Rodriguez, and one more in the seventh on an RBI from Luis Rivas.

Hasbrouck and Fowler each had two hits on the day while Adams, Francisco Rodriguez, Lemons, Stacy Heinatz, Rivas, and Elvin Alamo had one hit each for the Texans. Mitchell Morris had the only clean line of the afternoon from the mound as he pitched one inning - retiring all three hitters and two via the strikeout.

Tarleton will return home next weekend for a four-game series against Eastern New Mexico, beginning at 3 p.m. Friday.
