The Stephenville High School boys golf team took first place and the Honeybees finished as the runner-up girls team last Thursday in the Iredell High School golf tournament held at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose.

The Yellow Jackets fired a team total of 339, with four players participating in the boys division. Kendall Roberts had a 78 and took third place overall.

Also for SHS, Rosser Orr shot 81, while Hunter Rudloff finished at 87 and Grayson Traweek had a 93.

The Honeybees finished with a team total of 386 in the girls division. Alexis Graham led the SHS girls with a 91, and was fifth overall in the tournament.

Also for the Honeybees, Allee Mainord and medalist Kylie Roberts both shot a 93, while Maycee Decker had 100, Maddy Grimes 102 and Taylor Harpole 103.

The Bees and Jackets will have their District 8-4A tournament on April 2-3, also at the Squaw Valley Golf Course. If they qualify to advance out of district, the boys regional will be April 23-24 and the girls will be April 25-26, both at Shadow Hills in Lubbock.
