STEPHENVILLE - Dr. James Magill, 85, a dentist, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at St. Luke's Episcopal with Rev. Sam McClain officiating and arrangements by Lacy Funeral Home.

He was born on May 19, 1922, to the late James E. and Calla (Lilly) Magill in Atlanta, Ga. He married Dorothy Ernst on Nov. 1, 1944, in Ft. Worth. He graduated from New Mexico Military Institute and Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He was selected as one of three in his class to attend Heines General Hospital in Chicago for training in prosthesis. He was a lifelong member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Fort Worth and St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Stephenville. He was a World War II Army Dental Corp veteran.

Survivors include wife, Dorothy Magill of Stephenville; son, Robert Earle Magill of Union, Mo.; daughters, Laurel McDonald of Ft. Worth, and Shawnna Allyson Curtis of Orange Park, Fla.; sister, Jeanne Winnie of McAllen; and eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
