STEPHENVILLE - C.H. Adams, 74, of Stephenville, died Monday, August 2, 2010, in Stephenville.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Graham Street Church of Christ with Randy Daugherty, officiating, assisted by Don Parker. Interment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

C.H. was born January 2, 1936 in Erath County to the late P.D. ‘Shorty’ and Ruby Gooding Adams. C.H. was a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ where he served as a deacon. He spent several years as supervisor of Tarleton State University farm and dairy operations, and served as an Erath County commissioner for many years. C.H. was a retired dairyman and rancher, and a life-long resident of Erath County.

C.H. is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Rudene Pack Adams; daughters, Susan Haynes of Early, and Dena and husband Jeff Reecer of Denton; son, Todd and wife Kristi Adams of Stephenville; grandchildren, Heath Haynes, Chloe Reecer, Aaron Reecer and Allissa Adams; great-grandchildren, Mason and Laura Haynes; sister, Margie Gazaway; brothers, Bob Adams, L.E. ‘Shorty’ Adams, Richard Adams, and James Adams; and several nieces and nephews.

C.H. was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Adams.
