STRAWN — Ardis Kerr, 55, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at his home, after a five year illness.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 8, 2008, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Strawn with Rev. Michael Orsini officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Forth Worth.
He was born March 24, 1953, in Fort Worth to Lt. Col. Erbert L. Kerr and Geraldine (Jerry) Kerr. He worked as a Process Server and insurance agent for over 20 years in Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by his father Lt. Col. Erbert L. Kerr, his brother Garrell Ray Kerr, his paternal grandparents Ernest and Maggie Kerr, maternal grandparents W. H. (Bill) and Lois Grunewald, a native Fort Worth family, his step-father Scottie R. Cummings and his step-grandmother Zonia Lee Bleeker.
Survivors include his mother, Geraldine (Jerry) Cummings of Ex-Ray; sister, Debra Brown of Fort Worth and Lake Palo Pinto; step-sisters, Diane Barker and husband Alvin, Sherry Cummings and husband Larry Rosmuson, all of Palo Pinto Lake; step-brother, Alan Cummings of Watauga; his closes friends, Jan Whetstone of Weatherford, and Wanda Mallett of Louisiana and his faithful companion his dog Bree. He is also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
