GRANBURY — Rickie "Rick" Jack Rhodes, 62, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: at East End Memorial Park in Stephenville. Visitation will be held from 6-8 today at the funeral home.
Rickie was born Dec. 20, 1946 in Stephenville to Jack and Marvine Rhodes. He married the love of his life, Tommie Sue Lummus, Nov. 7, 1981. Rickie was a graduate of Key West High School in Key West, Fla. and Tarleton State University in Stephenville. He worked as an assistant administrator of Tarleton State University Student Center, was a carpenter, worked for Tom Hansen Oil Well Service and finally at Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant. Rickie was a member of First Assembly of God Church. He was truly born again and desired all to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. Preceding him in death were his parents, Jack and Marvine Rhodes; and his in-laws, Johnny and Rebekah Stockton.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Tommie Sue; step-son, Darrell Dobson; sisters, Phyllis Blades and husband, Ken, of Henrietta, Texas, Crycilla Moore and husband, Dennis, of Granbury; brother, David Rhodes of Stephenville; sister-in-law, Ann Burleson of Stephenville; nieces and nephews.
