STEPHENVILLE - Sam Henderson, 91, a retired oilfield worker, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Murray officiating. Burial will be at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 7:30 p.m. this evening at Lacy Funeral Home.

He was born on Nov. 29, 1915, to the late Samuel Arthur Sr. and Betty Pearl (Tudor) Henderson in Stephenville. He married Mary Louise Edwards on Jan. 31, 1953, in Odessa. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include wife, Mary Lou Henderson of Stephenville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Dorothy Brunk of Ft. Worth, and Mike and Debbie Henderson of Odessa; one daughter, Debbie Bonyanpour of Stephenville; one brother, Rex Henderson and wife, Mary Ella of Graham; three sisters, Pauline Staggs and Mary Mil Eldredge, both of Kingswood, and Alyne Thompson of Graham; seven grandchildren, Laura Yeager and husband, Gary, Trudy Sherrard, Tom Brunk, Tim Brunk, Susan Kyle and husband, Tony, Michael Hansler, and Marshall Henderson; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
