78, of Oakhurst, formerly of Los Angeles, CA, died peacefully at home surrounded by family. Shirley was born to Lloyd and Pearl Wooldridge in Sweetwater, Texas. During her life she worked as a Pediatric care assistant and as a secretary/bookkeeper for her husbandís business.
She enjoyed golfing, houseboating, camping, and traveling. She was a long time member of The Congregational Church of The Messiah in Los Angeles. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who created a warm, welcoming home for all. Those touched by her friendship, love and compassion will miss her greatly.
She is preceded in death by her son, Brian Gregg, her brother Ralph Wooldridge and sister Peggy Byam. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Billy B. Clayton, formerly of Dublin; brothers Lloyd Wooldridge and Ted Wooldridge; four children: Steve Clayton and wife Kathryn, Lesley Gray and husband Duncan, Lauren Adams and husband Daniel, Janet Clayton; grandchildren: Kathryn Adams, Brian Adams, Tyler Clayton, Casey Clayton, Cullen Gray, Olivia Gray; and great-grandson Scott Adams.
