FORT WORTH — Dan W. Lane, 71, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in Greenwood Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. this evening at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Dan was born in Stephenville on July 4, 1936, to Dan and Corinne Lane. He graduated from Texas Tech and the University of Texas Law School. He practiced law from 1963 to 2006. Dan served as the municipal court judge in White Settlement for 27 years. He served on the Board of Governors of Colonial Country Club. He was a member of the Executives Association. He served in the Army and was discharged with the rank of Captain.
Dan loved his family, his friends, playing golf and telling jokes and stories. Dan made a hole-in-one on each of the four par-3 holes at Colonial.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Julie; daughter, Jennifer Elliott, and her husband, Andrew; son, Jeff, and his wife, Hilary; granddaughters, Sarah and Julia Elliott; father-in-law, R. P. Musick; brothers-in-law, Gary Jacobson and his wife, Linda, Ron Jacobson, David Musick and his wife, Ranette, Reece Musick and his wife, Elizabeth; cousins; nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
