LONGVIEW — Bonnie Dean Huffman Wells, 82, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview with Rev. Charles “Chuck” Brown officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Longview. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wells was born on Jan. 18, 1926, in Gorman to Jody and Minnie Huffman. She graduated from Lingleville High School in 1943, and married Robert Wells in 1944. They eventually settled in Longview with their family. Mrs. Wells was a homemaker and led a very fulfilling life as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was also a dedicated member of Pine Tree Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by a son, Larry Wells of Longview. 

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Robert Wells of Longview; a son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Marsha Wells of Marshall, TX, three granddaughters and their husbands, Merritt and Kevin Glanton of Tyler, Jodi and JC Bonet of Jacksonville, and Jamie and Paul Correale of Hope Mills, NC; great-grandsons, Isaiah and Micah Glanton of Tyler, and Anthony and Nathaniel Correale of Hope Mills, NC; sisters Naomi Ferguson and husband Clarence Eugene “Ferg” Ferguson, Elaine Hammett, Carol Henderson, and sister-in-law Pat Huffman, all of Stephenville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Pine Tree Cumberland Presbyterian Church, or a charity of your choice.
