FORT WORTH — Floy Imogene Brown, 90, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2008.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Ft. Worth. A graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. in Dublin at Dublin Liveoak Cemetery.
Floy was born on Nov. 30, 1917, to Benjamin Franklin and Cora Belle (Laws) Brown. Born in Hamilton County, she moved to Ft. Worth, Texas in the early 1940’s to work and live all her life. She worked at several downtown businesses including, Monnings Department Store and Eckerd Drugs. She added an unmistakable flair to her community while being a member of ‘ Citizens on Patrol’.
All nine of her siblings and her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving her is a host of devoted nieces, nephews and friends.
