DUBLIN—Charles Anthony Kuehler was born on March 13, 1932 in Rhineland to John A. and Eunice Kuehler. He started grade school in Harbin and continued at Green’s Creek and went on to high school in Dublin. He joined the Air Force in 1949 and served in the Korean War until honorably discharged in 1952 in San Francisco, CA. He attended college at Texas A&M University and then graduated from College of the Southwest in Hobbs, NM. He started his career with El Paso Natural Gas Company in September 1958 and retired April 1, 1987 as Manager of Technical Operations. He relocated to the family farm outside of Dublin.

He is survived by his wife, Norma J. Kuehler, of the Dublin. Five children, daughters Patricia Wood of Artesia, NM; Pamela Gavin and husband Bryan, of Elkland, MO.; Pam Daly and husband Shaun, of Sunnyvale, CA.; Peggy Pipal of Granbury and son Greg Pipal and wife Jo of Granbury. Eight grandchildren, Tara Wood Cephus and husband Dwayne of Hobbs, NM.; Lauren Gavin, Mollie Gavin and Erin Gavin of Elkland, MO.; Cory Pipal and wife Jessica of Dublin; Kevin Pipal and wife Jennifer of Granbury; Dallas Pipal and Jason Pipal of Granbury. Three great-grandchildren, Chance and Meghan Cephus of Hobbs, NM.; and Brayden Pipal of Granbury.

Surviving brother is Richard Kuehler and wife Kathy of Sinton; sisters Betty Douglas of Stephenville and Eunice Weber and husband Chuck of Peachtree, GA.

Pallbearers were grandsons Cory Pipal, Kevin Pipal and Dallas Pipal, and cherished friends Mike Siebert, David Mayfield and David Vaughn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Budd Douglas and great-granddaughter Kaylee Wood Cephus.

Visitation will be Sunday night from 6-8 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home at Dublin and gravesite rites will be at Erath Garden of Memories Cemetery chapel on Monday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m.
