He retired from the US military in 1985 as a CW3 Warrant Officer after 27 years. He ended his service with the armed forces in the arena of air defense. Countless superiors suggest that he was

He has received numerous accolades throughout his career and is still considered one of the primary probl em solvers, of that system, during his years of service. His superiors have remained in contact for some 30 years.
Ray's love of nature kept him involved with the Boy Scouts of America both while serving in the military and during his retirement. His passion for the B.5.A. stayed with him throughout his life. He served many volunteer positions from Cub Master of Pack 630 in Bavaria Germany, to District and Council Commissioner here in Texas. His emphasis on adult leadership training vastly improved the Scouting experience. He has remained with Scouting as Scoutmaster of Troop 101 of Cisco until he could physically no longer continue to provide the leadership necessary to maintain a solid t roop. His 60 plus years of unrelenting commitment has positively influenced count less numbers both of youth and adults.
Ray Vinson Easterling will be dearly missed by not just his family but all who loved him.
