WYLIE — William “Billy” Ernest Brown, Jr., 45, passed away on June 3, 2009.

Services were held Saturday, June 6 at the New Hope Christian Church with Rev. Keith Spurgin officiating. Burial was at the Kreymer Cemetery in Wylie.

Billy was born in El Paso, Texas on May 5, 1964 and passed away on June 3, 2009.  He was the loving husband of Christy Bay Brown whom he married on July 9, 1988.  Together they have two sons, Sean Brown, 17, and Jacob “J-Dog” Brown, 14.  Billy adored his sons, and his family was the most important thing in his life.

Billy graduated from Stephenville High School in 1982 and from Tarleton State University in 1987.  He was a long-time resident of Wylie, Texas and was heavily involved in all aspects of youth sports in Wylie.  Professionally, Billy was a project manager, and he held several certifications in that field.  He was a devoted Christian and member of New Hope Christian Church. 

Billy is the son of the late William Ernest Brown, Sr. and Elsie Jackson Brown.  In addition to his wife and sons, Billy is survived by brothers Greg Brown and wife Brenda of Lipan, and Glenn Brown and wife Brenda of College Station; nieces Leah O’Bannon, Sarah Stunkard and Allison McFarland; nephew David Brown and father-in-law and mother-in-law Chip and Linda Bay.
