JUNCTION - Ted Fisher Lewis, a pilot, rancher and musician died on June 26, 2009 surrounded by his family at his ranch in Junction.

Mr. Fisher born on July 13, 1941 in San Angelo. He began his aviation career with Braniff International on Aug. 23, 1966.  During his career as an airline pilot he flew L-188 Electra, Boeing 727, 737, 747, 757 and 767 airliners.  He finished his career in aviation with United Airlines as a captain on the 757/767. 

Ted is survived by his brother Don Lewis and sister Sue Beth Gipson; wife Emily Lewis; sons King and Jobe Lewis; daughter Rachelle Lewis; and grandchildren Ross, Madison, Jackson Grayson and Piercen Lewis.

Ted instilled in his children and grandchildren a love for the outdoors, a faith in God, and an appreciation for his deep Texas family heritage, which extends back through Jobe Fisher who initially settled here in the late 1800s.

There will be a visitation at Graham Funeral Home in Junction on Tuesday, June 30, from 6-9 p.m. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the College Street Church of Christ in Junction.
