FORT WOTH — LaClesta ‘Sis’ Fulfer Phipps, died Saturday, February 28, 2009 in Stephenville.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Keith Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Exray Cemetery in Erath County. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

LaClesta was born, October 30, 1922, in Thurber to the late Barney and Leola Bell Hall Fulfer. She married R. L. ‘Bob’ Phipps, January 16, 1954, in Weatherford. He preceded her in death April 10, 1998. She was born and raised in Erath County, and spent most of her life in Fort Worth. LaClesta worked several years at General Dynamics.

She is survived by her brother and his wife, Billy Joe and Agnes Fulfer of Exray Community; sisters-in-law, Wanda Fulfer of Stephenville and Jean Thompson of Fort Worth; several nieces and nephews; and a ‘special friend’ Lorina Hall of Fort Worth.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Manny Fulfer, Son Fulfer, and Teddy Ray Fulfer; and by two sisters, Leta Faye Crain and Viola Ruth Bostick

The family wish expresses of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Exray Cemetery fund, 3671 CR 126, Gordon, Texas 76453, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
