W.T. (Todd) Anderson

STEPHENVILLE ó W.T. (Todd) Anderson, 82, of Stephenville, a truck owner & operator, died Friday, November 14, 2008, at a local nursing home. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 17, 2008, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Blagg officiating. Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, in Comanche, Texas. Todd Anderson was born on January 8, 1926, to the late Henry and Cora (Garrison) Anderson in Thrifty, Brown County, Texas. He married Helen Ruth Hughes of Proctor, Comanche County, Texas, on September 7, 1946, in Brownwood, Texas. Todd had worked for Great Western Drilling Company/Laughlin Brotherís Drilling Company as a tool pusher, Moran Bro.ís, Mercury Nevada Atomic Test Site, and E. L. Farmer Trucking Co., as truck owner/operator, and Joe D. Hughes Trucking. Todd was a quiet man with a big heart who loved the Lord. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an enthusiastic pilot and was a hard worker who loved outdoors. Todd and Helen moved to Stephenville in 1988 and are members of Greens Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Helen R. Anderson of Stephenville, TX; daughters, Linda and husband, Rusty Earp, of Dublin, TX, and Sharon and husband, David Abernathy, of South Houston, TX; sister, Rena and husband, Weldon Pittman, Sr., of Longview, TX; sister-in-law, Alice Hughes of Quinlin, TX; grandchildren, Sherry Wiggins of Huffman, TX, Robert and Heather McGregor of Flower Mound, TX, Dana and Scotty Gibbs of San Antonio, TX, Shelley and Tim Mears of Keller, TX, Sheila and Reyes Flores of Grand Prairie, TX, and Boyd and Rani Earp of Plano, TX; twelve great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
