STEPHENVILLE — Ray Roberts, 69, a tool maker for the aircraft industry, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rob McVicker officiating. Burial will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on Monday, May 19, 2008, at 9:30 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Ray was born on July 18, 1938, to Alvis Leroy Roberts and Mary Theresa Humphus in Falls County, Texas.

He was a member of the VFW, Lions Club, Sports Car Club of America, and a volunteer for North Texas Irish Festival. He was a member of the United States Navy.

Survivors include his mother, Theresa Wallace of Stephenville; one daughter, Reneé Roberts of Dallas; two step-daughters, Michelle McVicker and husband Rob of Nashville, Tenn., and Angela Vaughn of Glen Rose; one step-son, Ronald Gresham and wife Jennifer of Boulder, Colo.; one brother, Donald Roberts and wife Gail of Dallas; two grandchildren, Nadia and Andrew; 10 step-grandchildren, Karson, Jessup, Royce, Nick, Beau, Andrea, Michael, Alyssa, Aubrey, and Christiana; two great step-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Chase; three nephews, Chris Roberts, Brian Roberts, Colin Roberts; and a grand-niece, Ava Roberts.
