DENTON—Wayne Tucker, age 70, of Denton, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in Dallas surrounded by family.
He was born February 27, 1948, in Dublin, Texas to Prentice Wayne Tucker, Sr. and Geneva Mae (Judy) Stembridge Tucker. Wayne served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was married to Jo Anne Shelby from 1968-1991 and then married Cheryl Ann Kuskowski on October 29, 1999, in Lewisville.
He went to Cisco Junior College and the University of Houston studying chemistry and pharmacology before beginning a career in pharmaceutical sales and working for hospital groups in the 70's and 80's. In the early 1990's Wayne embarked on a new journey into the world of agricultural sales and began working with Nature's Technology and Bio Inoculant & Organics before forming his own family business with wife Cheryl in 2006 called Bio S.I. Technology. Together with son Shelby, they are pioneering new soil microbial products for sustainable agriculture to "clean up the world's food sources one farm at a time."
Wayne is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children, Shelby Tucker and wife Amy, Christie Tucker Kent and husband Adam, Zachary John Tucker and Megan Elizabeth Tucker; four grandchildren, Samantha Voce, Cade Tucker, Cooper Kent and Caylee Kent; sisters, Karen Franklin and Sandra Creek; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewisville. Interment with military honors will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.
The family requests memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warrior Project, and Vietnam Veterans of America.
