STEPHENVILLE—Robert Carroll Pack, 91, was born and raised in Erath County to parents Robert E. Pack and Myrtle Stone Pack. Everyone is invited to attend a Celebration of Carroll’s Life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17at Greens Creek Baptist Church.

He joined the Army during WWII prior to the dropping of the atomic bomb and served as part of the occupying force in Japan.  After returning home, he married Wanda Gay Pittman on May 15, 1952 and went into the dairy business. Eventually they purchased their own 350-acre farm on Bowman Ridge, between Stephenville and Dublin where they raised their family and lived until his passing.

He had an unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ, an unwavering devotion to his family and he loved to farm!  For more than 40 years he served as a deacon at Greens Creek Baptist Church.  Regardless of life’s circumstances, he found the joy in every situation; he saw the best in people.

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Myrtle; his brothers Leon, Thomas and Lewis and brother-in-law Bill Sharp.

He is survived by his wife of 65+ years, Wanda and their three children; his son and daughter-in-law John Pack and Elizabeth, his son and daughter-in-law Stephen Pack and Vickie and son Joseph Scott Pack; his six grandchildren are Stephanie Pack Young and husband Richard, Dallas Pack and wife Mandy, Landry Pack and wife Carrie, Julian Pack and wife Ashley, Christina Pack, Levi Pack and wife Megan; his eight great-grandchildren are Braxton Sandoval,  Abbie, Gracie, and Bailey Pack and Caleb, Joshua, Micah, and Madeleine Pack; his sister Charlene Sharp; his brother and sister-in-law Arthur and Beverly Pack; his sisters-in-law Shirley Pack, Sue Pack and Virgie Pack and numerous nieces and nephews.
