DUBLIN—Funeral services and interment for Willa Dean (Johnson) Gilbreath, 93, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, in the Bobby Gilbreath Chapel at the Barbee Cemetery located off FM 1702 southeast of Dublin. Brother Jim Clifton of the Edna Hill Baptist Church will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Harrell Funeral Home.

Willa was born to Bob and Myra Johnson.  She graduated from Lamkin High School and married T.E. (Tad) Gilbreath on March 30, 1941.  They were married 76 years.  

After World War II, they moved to Iowa Park, Texas, where Willa worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 25 years.  In 1976, Willa retired, and they moved to the family farm at Edna Hill.  They spent many happy years living in the Dublin and Edna Hill area where they were involved in church and community activities.  

Willa is survived by her husband, T.E. (Tad) Gilbreath; by brothers-in-law, Gene Gilbreath and Harrell Gilbreath of Dublin; and by several nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her son Robert (Bobby) Gilbreath.

The family would like to thank Dove Hill Nursing Center in Hamilton for many years of wonderful care, and CCS Hospice for their care and compassion.
