DESDEMONA—Graveside funeral services for Justin Robert Phillips, 30, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in Desdemona Cemetery with Joseph Mills officiating.

He was born to Roisue Phillips June 10, 1986, in Comanche.

Justin was a skilled welder and carpenter. He loved working with metal and wood to make beautiful and functional things including furniture. He lived in Desdemona his entire life but his outgoing personality gained him many wonderful friendships far outside of Texas.

Justin was a Christian and found peace in his long and courageous battle with cancer. He loved gaming online and spending time with this many friends and family, especially his dog, Frankie. His absence will leave a great void for so many, but wonderful memories of him will live on forever.

He leaves behind his mother, Roisue Phillips; MawMaw Pat and Papa Joe Phillips; sister, Haley Phillips, her partner Junior Ward, and sister, Hunter Phillips; nieces, Rayleen, Josilyn and Ariya; aunts, Dolly Yokshas and Elizabeth Mills; uncles, Dave Yokshas and Joseph Mills; special cousins, Philip, John and Dylan; good friend, Sheridan Priddy; numerous cousins, friends, online friends, and other extended family. Justin was preceded in death by his PawPaw Roy Phillips.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services Network, at P.O. Box, 2026 Abilene, TX 79604. Condolences may be offered online at www.nowlinandersfh.com.
