A 5K run may seem like a long haul, but for those fighting cancer, the battle is much longer and so much more intensive. And that's exactly what organizers of this event are hoping to remind participants and community members alike.
The families of Shari Farrow and Riley Esquivel have been fighting alongside them for months now and even though both are doing well, it's an uphill climb. The medical bills, as well as the other costs, keep climbing. And while both families have benefited from fundraisers, both still need assistance.
