With explanations of the cause for the climb ranging from an increase in world demand to an early preparation for the summer gasoline blend being undertaken by refineries, the consumer is likely to feel the pinch when budgeting for a traditional spring break vacation to the ski slopes or the beach.

The prohibitive costs of fuel will likely bar many from hopping a plane for a pleasure trip, and staycations and daycations are growing rapidly in popularity as an alternative way to find rest, relaxation and entertainment from nearby sources.
