City leaders are still at it, striving to bring more business and a higher quality of life to their constituents. Mayor Kenny Weldon and members of the city council recently unveiled a strategic plan for the year that calls for promotion of economic development, enhancement of salaries and benefits for city workers, infrastructure refinement and better communication between city government and Stephenville residents.
Quality of life issues the plan addresses include the improvement of public health and safety services, the availability of more cultural and recreational venues and the continuation of beautification projects conducted throughout the city.
