Local filmmaker Mike Simpson released "A Big Fan of Small" - the video he produced supporting Dublin Dr Pepper.

The film - uploaded at around 4 p.m. Friday on YouTube - shares a local perspective regarding the impact the Dublin bottling plant has had on the community.

"I am pretty happy with the overall feel of the film as well as the enthusiasm of the community," Simpson said. "Being the typical perfectionist that I am, there are always things I want to be better here and there, but I am very satisfied with the finish product."

"There is so much more I could have added to the film, but I decided to keep it short and sweet - just like Dublin Dr Pepper," Simpson said.

In the 3 minute, 34 second video, Dublin Dr Pepper fans from near and far - including Dublin Mayor Becky Norris - provided short testimonies about their love of the soft drink.

In June, Dublin Dr Pepper officials were notified a lawsuit was filed against them by Dr Pepper Snapple Group for not abiding by its 2009 license agreement. DPS claims the Dublin bottler is selling outside of its licensed territory and is not in compliance with Dr Pepper brand standards and is seeking an injunction in U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas.

Dublin Dr Pepper is expected to file their response to the lawsuit in federal court next week.
