Borges-Battenfield

Joe and Mary Borges of Dublin announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Marie Borges, to Lance Stephen Battenfield. Lance is the son of Kent and Julie Battenfield of Golthwaite.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mary Gonsalves of Santa Ana, Calif., Jack and Michelle Gonsalves of La Mirada, Calif. Chelsea is a graduate of Lingleville High School and is a student at Tarleton State University. She is currently employed as a secretary in the Presidentís office at Tarleton State University.

The prosepective bridegroom is the grandson of Gerald Battenfield and the late Elaine Battenfield of Gorman, and Gerald and Betty Hebert of Plaquermine, La. Lance is also a graduate of Lingleville High School and has attended Ranger College. He is currently employed at Starbucks in Stephenville as a barista.

The wedding is planned for Dec. 15, 2007, at Rocky Point Baptist Church.

Halbert - Cadle

Michael and Toni Halbert of Morgan Mill announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Leigh Halbert of Morgan Mill, to Jonathan Wayne Cadle of Hawley. Jonathan is the son of Steve and Willma Cadle of Hawley.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Charlse and Nancy Johnson of Ft. Worth and C.W. Halbert of Morgan Mill. Amanda is an employee of Early Head Start as a teacher, and a member of Washington St. Baptist Church.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Abilene Christian University with a degree in Biology. Jonathan is currently self-employed and a member of University Church of Christ.

Sanders - Allen

Mrs. Mary E. Sanders of Bastrop, La., announces the engagement of her daughter, Amy Elizabeth Sanders of Saginaw, to David Mark Allen also of Saginaw. David is the son of Charles L. Allen Jr. and Hazel Allen of Stephenville.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late James Millage Sanders of Bastrop, La., and the granddaughter of the late Wiley and Alma Aaron of Oak Grove, La., and the late Yancy and Linnie Sanders of Bastrop, La. Amy is a 2003 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems.

The prospective bridegroom the grandson of Ollie Crabtree and the late Fred Crabtree of Stephenville, and the late Charles L. Allen Sr. and Pearl Allen of Lingleville. David is a 2000 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 27, 2007, at Willow Lake Gardens in Weatherford.

West - Mull

Johnny and Lisa West of Stephenville announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Lynn West of Leander, to Matthew Ryan Mull of Leander. Matthew is the son of Bob and Terri Mull of Richardson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of John and Patricia Darby of Stephenville; Viva West of Stephenville; and the late JR West of Tennessee. She is a 2001 graduate of Stephenville High School, and a 2004 graduate from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Amanda is currently working on her Masterís of Arts degree and is employed as a Business Associate Coordinator at the Austin Diagnostic Clinic in Austin.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Max and the late Margaret Mull of Richardson and James and Jackie Young of Plano. He is a 2002 graduate of Berkner High School in Richardson, and a 2007 graduate of the Fire Academy of Collin County Community College in McKinney. Matthew is a certified firefighter and EMT, and is currently employed as a Medical Assistant at the Austin Diagnostic Clinic in Austin.

A wedding is planned for Oct. 20, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Stephenville.
