Fred Flores Chacon did not have a good start to his week.

As Chacon was driving from Dublin toward Stephenville on US Highway 377 Monday, he reportedly had a seizure. The seizure caused him to veer off the highway, travel through a pasture, crash through a portable building and come to rest after striking a piece of field equipment.

When Stephenville police arrived at the scene, they discovered marijuana inside his vehicle. He was charged with possession.

The arrest was not the first for Chacon this month. Chacon was arrested March 15 for simple assault family violence causing bodily injury, a class A misdemeanor.

Chacon refused medical treatment Tuesday, but was taken to the hospital for evaluation before he was booked into the Erath County Jail.

He was released after posting a $1,500 bond.
