Mark your calendars now and make plans to attend the Cross Timbers Home & Garden Show, March 29-30 at Lone Star Arena in Stephenville.
“We’re looking forward to another successful home and garden show. We have many local businesses that will be spotlighted during our annual event, as well as a few new faces from Stephenville and even the surrounding areas. We are looking to add a few new seminars that will attract visitors as well,” says Kelly Tippit, event coordinator.
Join the hundreds of people who are planning on attending and experiencing the many product demonstrations as well as signing up for the array of door prizes and giveaways offered by the large variety of exhibitors.
“It was great for me. We got a lot of people in there that didn’t know we were still open. We got our name out there. It really helped us out a lot,” Steve Thomas of Bill’s Lawn Mower Shop.
New features are being added to the show this year along with show favorite, Chef Gerard Thompson of world famous Rough Creek Lodge. Treva Thompson, marketing and tourism director of the Chamber said, “We are excited to have the chef back again this year. He is definitely a crowd pleaser. This will be the chef’s sixth straight year to present a cooking demonstration.”
The renowned chef will present cooking demonstrations at 1 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Chef Gerard said, “I really like taking part in the Stephenville show. The people are great to work with and the turnout has always been phenomenal.”
Also featured again this year will be “Party in the Yard” with Chef Gerard. Be sure and go to the show and sign up to win this opportunity to have the chef come to your own backyard and cook for you and your friends.
“Party in the Yard was great fun with the chef. He was a wonderful host and even shared some of his cooking secrets with us. Chef Gerard prepared a delicious meal for us and even ate with us. It was a wonderful experience. I will definitely be signing up again to win this year,” Cindy Stafford, past Party in the Yard winner.
The show poses the perfect opportunity for the homeowner to get a great start on those spring projects by meeting with various providers of home and garden products and services all in one location.
